Re: Remote heartbeat

you'll find once you get the machine configured and running you never look at the heartbeat again. Jep, turn on and make parts. I usually do not bother with heartbeat, ever though I am testing lots of beta software  Uwe Only time I need to look at the heartbeat is when installing fresh install...

Re: Centroid Operator Control Panel Interface Board: USB-BOB

By the schematic you have provided, they say to connect LED to source voltage. You could always add in a low value resistor - maybe 100 ohms in series.

Re: Can Clearpath SDSK & Hybrid Steppers be connected to C86ACCP ?

I'm mot sure if the 100 ohm resistors for enable, & step and direction signals are required on the Acornsix for the Clearpath steppers which are required on the Acorn. I I used a small breadboard I had lying around to mount the resistors to just to make the install a little easier. My experience...

Re: USB Switch

If you have an older desktop PC around you can try TrueNAS, it's free and works great as a shared network storage solution. Problem I found with off the shelf NAS is support after production ends. After two NAS systems which weren't able to be supported to my satisfaction after production ended, I s...

Looks great, does your post processor calculate the height of the dust shoe to material?

Re: CNC12 v5.07 rev14 now available for download.

yeah if you bail mid homing cycle you can sometimes interrupt the cycle while the axes are un paired. there is a command that re-pairs them after it is square'd up in the home program...so, if you cancel out after it un-pairs but before it re-pairs then the machine is left in the un-paired state. a...

They also sell mirrors at the Dollar Store, those usually can help with identifying the root cause.

Re: CNC12 v5.07 rev14 now available for download.

Chris, I haven't run into this issue with G30 until this release. I did not set Z value at 20.8099, this is being written by the Wizard. My max Z travel is set to 14 7/8". 20.8099 is my machine Y value for the touch plate. Can you help identify where the 20.8099 Z value is being generated? The ...

Re: homing travels in wrong direction

I know you are getting frustrated but maybe it's time just to start from scratch with your settings. Break it into sections and get each section working correctly. Reduce your max speed settings until you get the correct operation of the machine to give yourself more time to react to hit cycle stop ...
