Re: Ghost in the machine

I had to stop using my Thinkcetre all in one PC as the internal ethernet adapter in it would have send and receive errors with Acorn. Changed the pc and haven't had those errors since.

Re: Mean Well Power Supply Substitution

Personally I keep the the control side power separate from anything else, power supplies are relatively small so the benefits out way for me having; Easy isolation for fault finding. Everything else can safely estop without loss of controller communication. Guaranteed clean logic signals with no noi...

Re: What are typical feedrate and CSS settings

Completely tool depend, if you use replaceable tips all the information will be on the box or supplier will be able to tell you the optimal speeds and feeds. Then you will need to tweak it to your machine and possibly job.

Re: Probe detect with inexpensive sensors

I really like that idea, could use a cheap inductive sensor inside the plastic of the holder so there is no where for debris and easier to keep clean.

Acorn on board temperature? (Resolved)

I don't know if this is me miss-remembering, I've tried searching the forum and looking through documentation, I'm sure I've seen it somewhere...

Is there an on board temperature reading somewhere in cnc12 info pages?

Re: Communication Errors-Travel Limits spontaneously changed "0" & other issues

Double checked drivers and it doesn't look like there has been update for quite some time so it probably wasn't a driver problem but I did get windows to do some more updates over the weekend and it's I had no errors testing it this morning.

Re: Acorn CNC12 Mill, Router, and Lathe v4.6 has been released!

Could there something on the new version that may be causing the 944 mpu request resend and 946 pc resending errors? There seems to be more of it in people's fault logs?
I'm not asking for help so not posting a report yet...

Re: Communication Errors-Travel Limits spontaneously changed "0" & other issues

I've just started having 944 mpu request resend and 946 pc resending errors after doing a bit of "maintenance" and running updates on my all in one lenovo, doesn't happen with the same setup including ethernet cable using another PC so I'm going to have a play with drivers. May have to try...
