Re: Indexer, M function
I got the input working last night and modified my M13 macro to wait for the finish signal. That is now all working great and as before the M13 macro works in the MDI function. What is weird, is that it now also works perfectly fine when I use it in an Intercon Program. I am not sure what I did, but...

Indexer, M function
Hello, I am trying to get my Tsudakoma RZ160 rotary indexer working with my Allin1DC Bed Mill. I wired in the indexer input to output 6 (clamp) and the indexer output to input 16 of the Allin1DC. I have the output working such that the indexer indexes to the next position. I am still troubleshooting...

Re: Tool Length Offset setting for tools exceeding quill travel
I maybe have a similar issue on my DPM, that once I realized what was happening I worked around it. Basically, I have the quill and the head summed like you are talking about. If I power up the machine and home it with the quill not at the very top of its travel and then move the quill up and try to...

Re: Z axis on Knee mill
I don't have any experience, but you could always put a scale on that axis to get the required accuracy. I will also add, that I have a bed mill where the quill is not motorized and the head moves up and down. This is a great setup for the home shop. If you could motorize the knee and leave the quil...

Re: Software enhancements request
From a technical standpoint, going forwards through the program with an MPG handwheel driving the feeds should be readily achievable. After all, we already have the ability -- on lathes, at least -- to slave axis feed to a spindle encoder. It should be a short step to slave axis feed to the handwhe...

Re: Software enhancements request
Thanks for the insight.
Even just having this functionality in the "forward" direction would be vary useful.

Re: Software enhancements request
This is probably a huge request. If Centroid has this, I am have not seen it. But, the Prototrak controllers by SWI have a feature called TRAKing. Basically it allows you to step forward and backwards through the program using the MPG to test out a new program. It is very useful. If this is not clea...

3 Axis Milling on a Converted Prototrak DPM
Hey Gang, I have been having a blast with my Allin1DC converted 1998 vintage Prototrak DPM bed mill. I purchased the mill at an auction for an unbelievable price, got the original Trak Controller working and sold that for more than I payed for the mill:) Anyway, then with CNCkieths's help I converte...
