Re: DELMIA NC Shop Floor Machining processor for Centroid

For most practical purposes, all Centroid controls of the last 25 years run the same CNC codes, and can use the same postprocessors. The differences between an M20, M40, M39, M15, M400, M400S, or Acorn have to do with console packaging and back-end hardware; not with the way the front-end software ...

DELMIA NC Shop Floor Machining processor for Centroid

Hi All, This is more to share some findings about a CAM option out there. For a while I've been using my Acorn powered mill by writing my own simple G-code files, but now I want to move to using CAM software to help take CAD parts to the manufacturing stage. Historically most recommendations were to...

Screw Compensation Table causing software backlash

I have been trying to get screw mapping for the z axis on my mill, the maximum axis physical travel is 510 mm, I have homing configured in such way the axis moves UP (positive) towards home, and therefore the travel limits are set to be (0 & -507)mm. Up to this point I have no backlash compensat...

Re: How to setup a Tool release or Tool UnClamp button in VCP?

I am starting to wonder that if no one has come across this yet then how does everyone release the tool? Am I already going on the wrong route?

Re: How to setup a Tool release or Tool UnClamp button in VCP?

don't forget to install your Mill Pro license file for ATC functionality. Keith, you are right I am using the free version since I don't own a pro license, I am not planning on having an ATC on this mill so you are saying that these set of variables won't be available for me to use. so in my case W...

Re: How to setup a Tool release or Tool UnClamp button in VCP?

Tom, the list you sent seems to be from an updated version of cnc12 compared to the one in the VCP manual, it has more items listed, however the parameter we are looking for is still showing the same in both sources, here is a combined screenshot where I show the parameter in the VCP manual as well ...

Re: How to setup a Tool release or Tool UnClamp button in VCP?

I did not have access to my machine last night from where I was posting, I knew the report would be needed at some point, anyway, here it is.

How to setup a Tool release or Tool UnClamp button in VCP?

Hi, I have a 4 axis mill that I completely designed and built from scratch, I'm at the stage where I am doing bench testing of all the electronics before it goes on the machine. What would be the right setup to get a button in VCP that releases the tool from the spindle? Here are the steps I did in ...
