Re: Probe and digitizing questions

FYI I bought the Centroid KP3 probe and pro software. Nice probe for the money. Some info I found out about how the Centroid probe software saves its files. it saves in a Dig./TXT. file. I was not able to import that directly into Vcarve pro. I had to use this software to convert it into a DXF file...

Re: CNC stops during probe cycle?!

You have to address those MPU/PC Resends. They are errors on the ethernet link between the PC and Acorn. You should address this issue before moving forward with anything else. Most times it could be EMI noise a VFD, cabinet wiring methods. Can also be a bad ethernet cable (not typical but I have h...

Re: CNC stops during probe cycle?!

I am using shielded cabling in the cabinet. The probe cycle is not finishing the cycle and stopping at the center of the bore. On the 8th touch it stops on the ring gauge and does not back off and center.

I did look at his app but want to get the machine running right first.

Micro step with Stepperonline?

So I just converted a PM30 and using steppers from Stepperonline and wonder if anyone can suggest a good starting point for the microstep setting, the default is 1600 I believe but SOL list 2000 on there test graph. Then in one of the post about Microstep recommends 2000-8000 for closed loop DC. Also...

Re: Mechanical vs NPN Prox switch and power supply?

Thanks guys for the life line, I will ditch the mechanical switches and us the NPN for home! That Mean Well ps is a nice little package. I may use those instead of my current set up.
