Re: lathe part/groove tool offset
My problem is when I set the tool offset like in the left side of the image on my original post I get a double unwanted shoulder on my part. If I set my tool offset up like in the right side of the image on my original post, my part does not have the shoulder that should be there. Also this is not a...

lathe part/groove tool offset (RESOLVED)
EDIT** I have resolved this problem. Are the tool offsets for a parting and grooving tool different? Do I need to setup my parting and grooving tool as 2 separate tools in the offset table? On my lathe I have the grooving and parting tool as the same tool in the offsets table. Setup like the right s...

Re: backlash compensation only way to fix this? (Resolved)
CNCkeith, Thanks for that info. My lathe is set up very nice now. Its within tenths when I command a 1" move in either x+ or x-, my DTI is a 1 thou, so id have to get a better indicator to get things dialed in any better. So since CNC12 can handle up to 2 thou, I may spend some time running thr...

Re: backlash compensation only way to fix this?
Muzzer thanks you for your reply. Today I spent all day working on this, and I finally took out a bore scope and looked down the saddle pocket?? I dont know if thats what its called. But the ballscrew flange nut was hitting the bottom of the pocket and pushing the cross slide upwards. Took the x axi...

backlash compensation only way to fix this? (Resolved)
I have the strangest thing going on with my lathe. I dont want to call this backlash, but its almost like a "springback" on my x axis towards the front of x+ of travel. My x axis travel is all ok in terms of backlash except right at the front of the x+ where I can turn the ballscrew withou...

I am interested in picking up a TT-2 for my lathe.
Have all the TT-2 lathe issues (bugs) been worked out?

Re: Grizzly G0776 13x40 lathe
I haven't done anything to screw comp tables on this machine. I wasn't able to get the db25 connections to move the motors at all. But I did notice some lose connections on one of my stepper drives. It was "arcing". I tightened the loose connection and all seems to function properly again....
