Re: General Centroid processing speed & accuracy question
each axis can run at the max rate stated in the documentation.
all at the same time.
That is awesome.
To explain myself a bit: I do wooden form work, which led to me milling it out of aluminium and sometimes steels as well, as we were making smaller and smaller parts with higher accuracy ...

Re: General Centroid processing speed & accuracy question
If you want linear encoders on all axes, you have to use at least Acorn 6.
max. pulse output 1250 kHz
max. pulse input 6000 kHz
Uwe
Thank you Uwe! Have you implemented linear encoders with a Centroid control before?
I'n my humble opinion, for such high demands, ethercat is probably better ...

General Centroid processing speed & accuracy question
Hey all,
so I am not an expert, at all. But I would really appreciate the opinion from someone who knows a lot about the Centroid control systems and other systems like Beckkhoff, Heidenhain, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens.. industrial CNC controls in general.
I only know words like xxx blocks look ...

Re: TT-4 Touch Probe
Awesome. Thanks for the input. That sounds really nice.
Regarding probes... The KP-3 and DP-4 touch probes are wired, only the DP-7 is wireless - correct? Do you guys use spindle orientation for the touch probe like it is common on most VMCs with OMP40 and similar? Anyone used both KP-3 and DP-4 ...

TT-4 Touch Probe
Hey all -
is the TT-4 CNC Tool Touch Off Probe functioning like a Renishaw T27R tool setter, is it able to touch off the diameter and compensate for wear and end mill tolerances? Or only height?
Anyone got experience with this probe? How's accuracy/repeatability?
I did search the Forum, no posts ...
