Well, I think I can finally call this project complete.. I'm sure there will be additional updates in the future. Adding flood and/or mist coolant, hopefully tackling a tool changer, etc. But at least for the moment, I feel like the conversion is complete.

DynaMyte 2800 Bed Mill
I think I can finally say that this project is complete. My DynaMechatronics 2800 has been a 7 year project after buying it as a basket case at the Cabin Fever Auction. (I only really dove into it the last year though) The entire process has been documented on my YouTube channel.

Re: Show me your Custom VCP's!
I wish there was a way of running the VCP disconnected from CNC12 in standalone mode so that I could work with it on my laptop and work out my modifications at my leisure rather than standing at the machine.

Re: (Solved) acorn PLC programming change. For dyn4 servo spindle control.
Hey Marty, I understand the theory of the resistor, as I mentioned we use them on Mitsubishi drives on a daily basis. I'm just saying that there is no discernible difference whether it is connected or not.. Doesn't even get warm. Granted, I'm not constantly cycling the motor on and off which is when...

Re: (Solved) acorn PLC programming change. For dyn4 servo spindle control.
Hey Marty, No, I haven't tried tapping. I still need to add a spindle encoder before I can do that. I asked about the resistor twice. Once when I purchased the components and a second time when I was having trouble tuning it. Both times I was told it shouldn't need it. Based on my experience with ot...

Re: Show me your Custom VCP's!
I just made a few simple changes. Got rid of the buttons that didn't apply to my machine, then moved some of the other ones around to make use of the free space. Still a work in progress.

Re: (Solved) acorn PLC programming change. For dyn4 servo spindle control.
Thanks for this! This fixed my issue as well (but I'm a bit disappointed in myself that I couldn't figure out the PLC programming.)
