Re: Computer Requirements

"Computer manufacturers would put a relatively small SSD so the operating system would load faster."
I believe what you are saying here is that a SSD will load faster than a HDD (mechanical). I agree.
If you are saying that a smaller SSD will load the operating system faster than a larger SSD, then ...

Re: ATC macro help

Nice work Bobby!!
I hope to get mine working soon as well. I'm going to try sliding my tool holders into the forks (claws) using a similar macro.
I'm using the same atc water cooled spindle as Bobby, in fact - Bobby was the one that told me about the Ebay seller. I am very impressed with the fit ...

Re: ATC macro help

I'll be very interested to find out what is going on here as well. I'm planning to do the same thing, only with forks instead of the "no forks" approach that Bobby is using.
Thanks,
David

Re: Unclamp and Clamp Spindle

OK - I figured out that I can use M94/68 to turn output 8 ON, and M95/68 to turn output 8 OFF. For my application output 8 ON = unclamp spindle, and output 8 OFF = clamp spindle.
I am editing the mfunc6 macro. If I replace the M15 (unclamp spindle) command with M94/68 and replace the M16 (clamp ...

Unclamp and Clamp Spindle

I'm trying to get one of the atc macros going for my spindle. For manual tool change, I simply push a button to energize the solenoid valve that supplies air to the spindle for clamp and unclamp. Now I wish to unclamp and clamp under program control. I have output 8 configured as "Unclamp Tool" (see ...

Re: Plasma smoothing issue

I'm not sure how this would be done with cnc12. I run several of the Plasmacam machines and the settings section has a machine control page with settings for corner acceleration, slower on circles/curves under (diameter/inch). I will look forward to learning if there is indeed a way to accomplish ...

Re: Wiring solenoid for atc

The push button switch and the acorn relay board relay are wired in parallel. Either one will activate the solenoid.

I have my +24V and gnd connected to the Best VFD. Just make additional connections as shown in the diagram to one of the relays on the Acorn relay board.

These relays have terminals ...
