Using a stepper on the z axis, clearpath servos on the x and y. The neuron is a full stand alone that takes over the z axis, that was the main reason for wanting to give it a try. I would be interested in trying this on our custom 4x8 built plasma. Acorn, clearpaths, z stepper, I actually have a neuron THC to put on, but would be willing to compare the two.

home built plasma table with centroid acorn pro currently running x axis test and pairing without the gantry being attached. only the two side arms with motors. one is axis 1 the other is slave. before pairing, both sides moved in the negative direction and homed off of the home switches correctly....

I've heard someone got the Neuron THC to work with the Software, i'll have to find out more, as I was a THC with control of the Z axis.

Seems like they haven't really been working on this much. Guess i'm going to go with the CandCNC instead. I had high hopes for this, but dont want to keep waiting any longer.
