JGL-100 ATC spindle / Pierson smart vac

Hi, I'm selling an JianKEn JGL-100 ATC spindle http://www.jian-ken.com/automatic-pneumatic-tool-change-spindle-motor/jgl-100-2-5kw-24000rpm-iso25-spindle-motor.html. Bought it recently but i have to turn away from machining for personal reasons. I have 7 tool holders for it. Asking 1500$US for the w...

Re: Tool management with ATC

I figured out the issue for smoothing. It was indeed the clearpath configuration and a bit of machine rigidity. My new spindle is considerably heavier than the last one so i'm getting a bit of vibration on the X axis. I had to slow down accelerations and the issue is kinda in control. I was adjustin...

Re: Tool management with ATC

From my understanding it depends on how you have the ATC configured. In simple mode the tool number matches the BIN number (position in the ATC). In advanced mode you can the BIN number can be different to the tool number as ultimately it is the BIN number that tells the system where to pick up the...

Tool management with ATC

I have a machine with a linear ATC using 3d printed pockets (not forks) to hold my tools. Normally I have about 25 tools in my library and I designed my tool rack to be able to hold 30 tools however i'm using a position for a small touch plate and another one to hold the probe (when i get it) so i c...

Re: G64 and software smoothing

best results are to NOT to have two competing smoothing schemes fighting each other. turn off smoothing in cad/cam system. let CNC12 take care of G code smoothing. See the operator manual for more info on CNC12's G code smoothing and how it work from operator stand point. https://www.centroidcnc.co...

G64 and software smoothing

I'll be starting some test cuts this weekend. I mainly use my machine for pattern making our of polyurethane board (Renshape). I was wondering how G64 interacts with a software smoothing in CAM. Should I leave the smoothing on in my CAM operations or disable it since the controller is already taking...

Re: Mechanical issue (not controller related)

Marty, In order to create this report I manually triggered the master switch before the slave. I’ve done it multiple times before I figured it out. My machine had a pretty tight tolerance between both the slave and the master so I would get this error sometimes. I made another bracket for my slave h...

Re: Mechanical issue (not controller related)

So i figured out the issue. Turns out this was an mechanical one that happened during assembly. My table was too large compared to the X axis gantry by 2mm. So basically the gantry plates were "tapered" from top to down. This was putting pressure on the ballscrew nut and was causing the vi...

Re: Mechanical issue (not controller related)

The supported method of gantry "autosquare" requires that the slave switch triggers first. Having the master trigger first could result in erroneous results. But is there a way to change the fact that it wipes out travel limit when that happens? I wouldn't want my employe to just reset th...
