Re: Server motorsport run after update of CNC 12
..... I did not expect to have to go into "DB 25 connector - mapping" to activate the screw terminals. For now all is well, I seem to love overcome this hurdle, and i'm ready for the next. Thanks for your help. Steve I agree Steve, I've had a few customers get confused by this page title ...

Re: Help on isolation switch fit two circuits/power supplies
It's highly doubtful that your 3KW spindle/VFD package will draw anywhere near what you are thinking. We or should I say "I" cannot suggest a circuit breaker size for you, this is something you'll have to calculate from your components. It's also not advisable to have your dedicated CNC PC...

Re: Help on isolation switch fit two circuits/power supplies
I guess it would be helpful to know what size spindle you'll be running. It must be huge if you think you need a 40A circuit. I have an entire CNC router using Clearpath servos with a small 5HP air cooled spindle on it running on a single 30A breaker using 240 VAC from my panel. Everything runs off ...

Re: New Build Steel Frame Router
"good quality" and " China" dont belong in the same sentence. Are they locked on the shafts with keyways or simply a set screw? Did you use Loctite on all the couplings where they meet the ball screw and motor shaft? If your measured backlash is only .0005 then I would ...

Re: New Build Steel Frame Router
Are those high quality couplers or an Amazon special? I use Ruland couplers for all my couplings.

Can I ask the simple question of "why" are you doing this?

Yes, they both can work together. If I remember correctly I had to invert the inputs I used for the second set of buttons on one of my machines.

Re: Tool Change Macro Help
Wanting to "optimize" a macro doesn't make you a weirdo it means you want to work more efficiently. I have several macros that I've trimmed down so as not to waste my time with questions that I don't need to be asked. For the newbie, the questions are very helpful so that's why others hav...

Re: ethernet communication errors...wits end
We need a report to answer any questions. Disable wi-fi as it's not needed for Acorn. I'm guessing it's a noise issue.
FYI, the gauge of those red wires in your pic is extreme overkill. It's looks like residential wire anyway.

Re: Yet more problems
You have tons of com errors in your error log and you have to fix these before you can go any further. It can also cause no motor movement as the PC and Acorn are not communicating properly. These com errors have to be resolved before proceeding, please take the time to follow the details in TB270 a...
