Re: Show me your Custom VCP's!
What I am trying to do is turn my spindle on and off using one output and the two preprogramed red and green spindle on/off buttons. This is exactly what the stock VCP does. Assign one output, any output you want, to “SpinFWD” in the wizard output page, wire the VFD per the numerous schematics and ...

Re: Sheetcam Rotary Postprocessor info/discussion
You’re gonna still need a pierce height or you are gonna ruin a lot of consumables. If your THC is set up correctly and the z axis is set up correctly the THC should follow square tubing just like cutting uphill or corrugated metal.

Re: ATC Problem after update
You can have a master file like you have or a report that you can restore to multiple machines but of course they have to be configured the exact same. They also have to be running the same version software you created the file or report from. You can’t however restore a report or file like you have...

Re: Can't run the job
No you only calibrate once but you have to be sure you select the correct material from the profile manager when doing the calibration. The calibration is done for a baseline voltage reading at a .06 cut height for the profile selected. Then it uses that calibration against all other profiles. The n...

Re: Buying a new plasma cutter
I would buy the machine torch since that’s what it’s designed for. If you plan to cut a lot of thin material you’ll want the machine torch as it has the ohmic touch off also. The hand torch will use a float switch. Cable routing is easier as well. I have the 25’ Duramax machine torch with my Powerma...

Re: Can't run the job
When you do the torch calibration you have to select the material you are using for the calibration from the profile manager. If you don’t then your machine will never cut any material correctly. All this is in the plasma manual. You have to do the calibration FIRST before you do any other cutting. ...

Re: Dry Run OK but When Torch Fires no Movement
Certainly sounds like a noise issue as you have hundreds of Ethernet communication issues. After the torch fires and it’s just sitting there press enter on the keyboard and see if it starts moving. Run the stress test file and see what your results are.

Re: Can't run the job
We need more info and a current report. What plasma cutter do you have? Did you do the torch calibration? What’s happening is that after the THC delay the torch is diving to raise the voltage. Set the THC mode to “smart sense” and see what the voltage is compared to the profile manager.

You have the eagle eye ShawnM, wow - that was it! (sorry for the long tardy reply, I thought I had replied but was logged out and didn't realize it at the time...) Thanks all for their help, we're up and running as expected, finally 👌🏼 You did reply already and then so did I but there was an issue ...

Re: RPM using Hall effect sensor with 4 magnets
Not sure if this will work for you or not but I have a used encoder I pulled from a working Holz-Her CNC router and I have it listed on ebay currently. Here's a link to the auction and there's a link to the data sheet for the encoder. I have no idea if it'll work with Acorn or not as I've never hook...
