Re: Swissi's post processor not compatible with two setups?

Keep in mind you can also stop and start the spindle if needed, my work during the pause takes about 10 seconds so I dont stop the spindle and it's out of reach anyway so no danger to keep it spinning.

Re: Swissi's post processor not compatible with two setups?

I can tomorrow as I'm away from the machine until then. There's only one macro I created, M56, the M200 is not a macro. You could simply add this to accomplish the same: G0 X36Y143 ;set your x and y position to where you want the gantry to move to so you can flip the part M200 "Please flip part...

Re: Swissi's post processor not compatible with two setups?

I needed a pause in some g code for a tool that I machine and I needed some extra room to work during this pause so I so I created a macro to move the gantry out of the way and wait for me to do what I needed and to secure the part again before continuing on with the g code. Then I had CNC12 prompt ...

Marty and Keith are correct, those stepper drives need to be wired to the DB25 to work reliably. You need a breakout board and the drives wire to it. Here's a link to a breakout board from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073RG3GG6/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&c...

Re: Timing Pulley

I get all my pulleys from B&B Manufacturing here in the US. They offer imperial and metric pulleys and will custom bore anything all at very reasonable prices. All pricing is available online and most pulleys are in stock. I don't know what pitch belt you have or belt width but they have 1/2&quo...

Re: Torch sensor hookup

Are they normally open or normally closed prox sensors? Do you have that set correctly in the wizard?

Re: Torch sensor hookup

You have to run 24 volts into H1 or H4 for the inputs to work, look at the diagram closer.

Re: Torch sensor hookup

I think he's missing the 24 volts for the inputs since none of them are working. Hopefully he'll send a pic and tell us what diagram he's following.

Re: stepper motor advice

I dont use steppers so maybe someone who does or has used these will be able to give you better advice on a motor choice. Both are good choices though as many users on here have used both. What kind of gear reduction do you have? Please start a Google photo album of the machine so we can see what yo...

Re: Torch sensor hookup

Thank you for the report, inputs are configured correctly. Which wiring diagram did you follow? Did you hook up 24v to either H1 or H4? Do you have a Google album started with pics of everything that you can share? A photo of the Acorn board wired up would also be helpful.
