Re: Z Axis lag - Loosing position
Well all appears to be fixed by going to the 5v logic side via the DB25 connector. Thanks for all the help. My other major take a way was to stop using E-stop, and only use that if abs necessary. It looks like the drivers need a moment after enable to be able to receive commands. So feed hold when ...

Re: No signal from Acorn to the stepper drivers
I'd also set the steps/rev on the drives to 3200 and set the step rate to 100,000 in the wizard.

Re: No signal from Acorn to the stepper drivers
Look again at your error log, you don't have perfect communication between the PC and Acorn. Your error log has several communication errors, MPU resends and PC resends. As Ken stated, share some pics and other info so others can better help you. Please start a Google photo album and share the link ...

Re: Centroid Oak with Rexroth IndraDrive M servo drives
Thanks again for the info. I have many manuals that I downloaded from Rexroth and there's a lot of info out there. After further digging into the machine it appears that these Rexroth drives use Sercos which is a fiber optic connection to the controller which is a PCI card inside the PC on the machi...

Re: Wiring Home switches
PNP sensors SOURCE (pull high) current. NPN sensors SINK (pull low) current. Acorn inputs require the input device to pull the signal low. N/C means that the output signal is high until the sensor sees its target. When the sensor sees the target, the sensor's output signal turns off, but does not p...

Re: Wiring Home switches
It also states in the install manual if using proximity sensors THEY MUST BE NPN type. The preferred way that is listed in the install manual is each switch wired to its own input but if you run out of inputs you can series three NC proximity switches together to a single input. If these are your HO...

Re: Centroid Oak with Rexroth IndraDrive M servo drives
The first thing I would do is verify that they have the closed loop firmware with servo functionality as broken down in Chapter 4.1. From this manual, I don't see any way to configure the digital inputs for the Oak's position control signals so I think you'll be limited to velocity mode. The firmwa...

Re: Spindle issue after using a gcode program
Correct, you do not need VFD enable to make a spindle work. You can simply program an output to SpinFWD and make the VFD work. The OP has SpinFWD setup on output 4 so it should work as it always did. When you say you " - When I start the spindle manually, the relay on acorn board doesn't switch...

Re: Teknic Eclipse servo wiring
Yup, they are 5V and you can wire them to the DB25. You can also wire the newer Clearpath servos the the DB25 with 5V.
