Re: CNC12 Software cycle start disabled

Yes, they both can work together. If I remember correctly I had to invert the inputs I used for the second set of buttons on one of my machines.

Re: Tool Change Macro Help

Wanting to "optimize" a macro doesn't make you a weirdo it means you want to work more efficiently. I have several macros that I've trimmed down so as not to waste my time with questions that I don't need to be asked. For the newbie, the questions are very helpful so that's why others hav...

Re: ethernet communication errors...wits end

We need a report to answer any questions. Disable wi-fi as it's not needed for Acorn. I'm guessing it's a noise issue.

FYI, the gauge of those red wires in your pic is extreme overkill. It's looks like residential wire anyway.

Re: Yet more problems

You have tons of com errors in your error log and you have to fix these before you can go any further. It can also cause no motor movement as the PC and Acorn are not communicating properly. These com errors have to be resolved before proceeding, please take the time to follow the details in TB270 a...

Please read this topic and provide us with more info. Without a report anyone would just be guessing.

Re: Limit alarms when trying to home

It's probably not setup correctly. Please post a current report from the machine so we can see how it's setup.

Please read this topic and provide more info for others to help you.

Re: ethernet communication errors...wits end

Have a look at your error report, it's no wonder nothing works. Here's a sample of your error log below. Dive into tech bulletin 270 and 309 and find out where your noise is coming from. Post pics of your cabinet wiring. Are you using shielded wire where it's recommended/required? (4) 05-04-2024 12:...

Re: Tool Change Macro Help

As noted by the other responses, if you want "hand holding" it costs money. I for one would not want to see an additional $240 added to he price of my Acorn when ANY answer you could possibly want can be found here for free. The info and knowledge on this forum is second to none when it co...

Re: Tool Change Macro Help

..... Centroid is not very helpful in getting one "up and running" in this regard. Its up to the customer to sift through long and complicated manuals and ultimately trial and error. Centroid could not possibly include a generic M6 for what you want to do. Why? Because no two machines wil...

Re: Tool touch off and probe help needed

Thanks Nigel. I enlarged the pic he sent and I clearly see a DM-542 drive which takes up to 50VDC. The other drive I cannot quite make out looks to be a DM860T (I see the last 3 letters/numbers in the part number being 60T) which takes up to 80 VDC. The amazon links show totally different drives so ...
