Re: Free(ish) computers to run CNCPC?

If no one takes them please be sure you recycle these and not take them to the dump. There are several e-recycle places all over Raleigh that will recycle these. The dump in Holly springs has a recycling spot for electronics. I'm pretty sure Wake county contracts that out to a firm that melts all t...

Re: Limit Sensor Options / Questions - Onefinity Build

Sounds good, time will tell I guess. I call it a "flag" and not a probe. A probe is really a measuring device.

Re: Limit Sensor Options / Questions - Onefinity Build

Good luck with the build and the optical sensors but I'm not sure they were the best choice for a router. You do know that routers make chips and dust that can easily trip an optical sensor, yes? As for the current draw from an optical versus a proximity, it's not an issue as you'll use a de...

Re: AcornSix Invert Inputs

Have a look at the install manual, this info is in section 6.3. Acorn works with both NO and NC inputs. You select which option you need.

First, the buttons. You can easily go into the VCP skin file and add any button you want in any location you want. These buttons will control your 5th and 6th axis. Have a look at the VCP manual and it'll help you modify your skin file for your setup. The buttons wont show up by default. Here's a li...

Re: New Build CNC Router

Is one of the home switches tripped? Make sure you have the state of the input correct in the wizard, no or nc. Also, check that the inputs are not inverted in the plc diagnostics screen.

The link to your google album is not working, did you make it "public"?

I sent you the "bone stock" Vcarve Pro PP for Centroid via email. Edit it to your liking. Then save a copy on a thumb drive or in the cloud.

Re: Ok? I need it, so better than nothing?

Acorn will run any stepper or servo drive that accepts "step and direction" signals. It has nothing to do with the NEMA 23 motor. The wiring is the most important part so so don't cheap here or you'll spend more time working on the machine that it does working for you.
