Yeah, it does seem like a software or config thing with my installation of the acorn.
The fact that the Z axis jogs with the Jog +/- buttons means the axis and control of axis works. The jog wheel interaction causes something to require a reset in CNC12.

Re: Wireless MPG CWP-4 won't jog Z axis
I changed the input for my limit switches to unused and the same issue occurs. Z will not jog on the wheel and requires reset to allow other axis to jog. Z does move correctly with the Jog +/- buttons still.

Re: Wireless MPG CWP-4 won't jog Z axis
If I use the Jog +/- the Z axis and all others jog and continue to jog as expected.
It is when I use the wheel to jog Z that a freeze is experienced until I do a reset.

Re: Wireless MPG CWP-4 won't jog Z axis
How does the control work if you use some other method to move the Z axis instead (e.g. keyboard jogging, VCP, or MDI)?
Keyboard Jogging, VCP and MDI all work correctly until I try moving the Z axis with the MPG and Z axis doesn't move.
Once this occurs, keyboard jogging, VCP and MDI will not ...

Wireless MPG CWP-4 won't jog Z axis
Installed CWP-4 as per instructions, it does communicate and work correctly when I select X or Y axis or use any of the buttons, but once I select Z axis and try to jog it will not jog Z and will no longer respond until I do a reset. Once reset, I can repeat the issue again and again.

Re: NCStudio to Acorn Retrofit - Issues cutting Arcs / Circles (Resolved)
Have you verified that your computer meets the single thread benchmark?
It didn't.
Got ahead of myself trying to use the software on the same computer as NCStudio rather finish the complete computer upgrade first.
I installed CNC12 4.14 on a newer system that has a single thread of 2100 and ...

Re: NCStudio to Acorn Retrofit - Issues cutting Arcs / Circles
IF you didn't notice this anomaly before you changed controllers, you may have the Acorn set more aggressively, therefore issues will become more easy to spot.
This is not a software or setting problem. There is something mechanically loose/moving on the machine.
I have moved back to my ...

Re: NCStudio to Acorn Retrofit - Issues cutting Arcs / Circles
These are the settings from NCStudio 4.53.4 that are working correctly with the driver / motors and VFD / Spindle.
In NCStudio - Config 3 the Acceleration settings do change the shape of arcs, but I'm not familiar with what those settings are or what a similar setting in CNC12 4.14 would be.
