Re: Axis moving on it's own
Do you have access to an oscilloscope? A motor moves when it receives electrical signals telling it to move. I'm guessing that you have significant noise on the step signal. A 'scope will show that noise, then you can turn off / move other signals until you've found the source of the noise. I don't...

Axis moving on it's own
I'm having issues the Y axis of my router. It's using 1.8 kw AC servo's and drives off Amazon. The machine had been running great for the last 11 months. About a month ago I noticed that if it sat on for awhile, the Y axis would occasionally be slightly off from where the DRO was reading. Today I wa...

Re: Updated Software- Lathe gang tooling is asking for tool change
Thanks for the responses.
As I should have expected- my fault on this. I missed changing parameter 6 to 1. Just did a test run of machine, all good.

Updated Software- Lathe gang tooling is asking for tool change (Resolved)
I recently updated my lathe software and am having issues getting the machine to run as it was before. I believe I have all my parameters set appropriately. I've attached a report. Since I'm running gang tooling, there is no need for the machine to go to a home position or to have a tool changed out...

ATC Macro Download Link (Resolved)
Hi, I have an ATC spindle inbound and was going through the tech section of the forum in hopes of finding more info. I went into the ATC overview topic and downloaded the link. In the picture below the link, there is a folder for a rack mount ATC. After downloading the link, I see there are only fol...

Re: Hookup for Chinese AC Servos and Drivers AASD Drivers
I’m not sure. My signal knowledge is very limited. You’d have to check with somebody that knows more about these things. I only know what worked to get them running my machines.

Re: Hookup for Chinese AC Servos and Drivers AASD Drivers
All I did was change pn003 from 0 to 1. Changing it to 1 enables the servos at power up. If it's off, you can use the interface to use different jog features. I honestly expected these to be harder to work with. I'd post more info about them but they didn't need any real setup or troubleshooting. I'...

Re: Hookup for Chinese AC Servos and Drivers AASD Drivers
The best way to see what this seller has available it to search "Mophorn Servo" on Amazon. They're the seller. I just looked them up and it seems the full kits are selling out pretty quickly. They carry some stepper kits that look pretty beefy...even the sewing machine setups look interest...

Hookup for Chinese AC Servos and Drivers AASD Drivers
A little while back I came across a smoking Amazon deal on AC servo motors and drivers. Problem was that the listing gave no indication of how they could be controlled. Found a manual for the drives online and was able to determine they'd work with step and direction. Here is a schematic for the DB2...
