Marty you got me thinking about mill versus router license. I tried installing 4.6 mill just now, and it worked perfectly; I had been trying to install 4.6 router (I have a router). The issue is pretty clearly that I didn't know I had to have a router license. Oops.

While I'm at it, there doesn't seem to be a SlavedHomeInput in 4.6. What do I use instead?

Marty: I would do that, but I don't know how to edit the Axis drive type - I can get into the "custom" screen" but don't know how to make changes. I'm using a step rate of 200,000 and 16,383 steps/revolution.

I've been attempting to update to 4.6 Router from 4.5 using a report to restore my settings. I followed the procedure in the updating to 4.5 video, but I don't get the screen in the Wizard at 10:27 of the video, that gives me the option to update the wizard. 4.5 report that I'm trying to use attached.

Follow-up. I've been told by the internet that my problem is an issue in the VCarve pocket toolpath (and not the hardware) and was advised to use a profile toolpath. I did and it cut the exact size hole I wanted.

I looked at the hookup schematic for the probe. It appears the probe uses the same inputs that the basic Acorn schematics recommend for a tool touch off device. If one had a probe and a tool touch off device, do you wire them in parallel, move the touch off to another set of inputs, install a switch...

I worked around my issue (called for "oversize" holes in VCarve), but still have no idea what caused the error.
