Re: Anybody having issues with Windows 10 filling the HDD

Well I am now sorted, someone in my family had added NextCloud to my machine and had selected every item to it, one dir was 180GB. It was WinDirStat that found it so I deleted everything and only added CNC related items and now my hard drive is only using 72GB out of 250GB. I have to apologise to al...

Re: Anybody having issues with Windows 10 filling the HDD

Swissi, Muzzer - nothing like that on the PC, I use sneakernet to add files to my machine via USB. I'll see what WinDirStat comes up with

Re: Anybody having issues with Windows 10 filling the HDD

Strangely enough Disk Cleanup only got me back less than a GB, will finish the task at hand and then reinstall Windows killing off Windows Update permanently via REGEDIT or Group Policy Editor in the process. Today was the first time I had used the machine since starting this thread.

Being a Windows 10 newbie ( came from Linux & Mac) I wouldn't have a clue to be honest. Will find that setting and see what it is set to....

Re: Anybody having issues with Windows 10 filling the HDD

HI Tom

New install on a new machine. I cannot find anything that will stop Windoze 10 filling it back up again. I recently had the same problem with my machine inside, I installed a 1TB drive in that too. At the moment I have 550GB free

Anybody having issues with Windows 10 filling the HDD

Hi all Was just wondering how you manage space on your machines. I have a machine in which is a 250GB SSD. Windows 10 has decided to fill that space with goodness knows what and is demanding to delete a whole bunch of things. Before I reinstall the machine with a 1TB SSD has anyone experienced the s...

Re: Australian Mechmate transforms to Acorn

Thanks Gary

I think that is what I did wrong, calibrated against a cut that I needed. I have a Wixy measuring system that I will install and then do it properly.

Re: Australian Mechmate transforms to Acorn

Thanks guys Never thought of backlash, will check tomorrow. Weird thing is all smaller operation require adjustment yet large distances do not. Cut a few things today and requested 450mm and got the same every time. Yesterday it was pieces 1090x2200 and they were spot on. Yet a 12mm pocket needs 12....
