I just clocked it and it is indeed doing 50 degrees per minute. I guess it just seemed slow when compared to the table and quill jog rates. Thank you both for your help,I really appreciate it!

Thanks for all of the replies,I really appreciate it! As it turns out bmilam hit the nail on the head. Once the jumper was set to the proper location for remote speed control use it sprung to life and started behaving exactly as it is supposed to. Thanks again to everyone taking the time to help ...
