#1 Router setup IMHO is: fixed Tool Touch Off for Tool Lengths and using a moveable Touch Plate for setting zeros TT is NC, Touch Plate is NO What would be the values in P11, P18, P43, P44 and P257 in this setup? Pick any set of input assignments for example purposes. Or is there another set of par...

Re: New Build LMS 3990 Hi Torque Mini Mill

In the Wizard, choose "Simple Homing". Then you just jog to position and press Start. It will not attempt to move to the switches.

Re: New Build LMS 3990 Hi Torque Mini Mill

Jog all three axes to an appropriate home location (e.g. near the top of Z, and near one end or the other of X and Y.

Then press Cycle Start to set home where it sits.

Then you will have numbers on the DRO.

Later you can make it home automatically to the switches.

Re: Acorn Zero Voltage on Spindle Bench Test

Barring any unusual changes to the PLC program, and assuming you have good contact where the test leads are inserted in the analog plug, and assuming you have steady logic power applied to the Acorn board (i.e. it communicates normally with CNC12), and assuming your meter is trustworthy, then this l...

Re: Hardinge CHNC II+ Hickory LeadShine EL7 Retrofit

Yes, you can run the turret using a servo axis motor. PLC and macro changes are required, since the PLC will still need to manage the unlock/lock action, but only the CNC macro can move the axis. Some care is required to ensure that CNC12 does not try to move that axis in home, park, G28, and other ...

Re: Allin1dc limit issue

Steps for commissioning a DC servo axis with Allin1DC: 1) Make sure you can jog the motor slowly and smoothly, under control. If it runs away and says "410 ... position error", then you probably need to swap either your power polarity or your encoder direction (A and B channels). 2) Decide...

Re: Rigid Tapping Setup

Look up 3M "Mini-D Ribbon" (MDR) connectors, including part numbers 10150-3000PE and 10350-52x0-008.

This is what Yaskawa and Delta use. Yours looks like the same thing.

Re: Strange lathe issue - only when boring

You can set part Z zero using Tool 11. However, it is not sufficient to just have T11 showing as the active tool number in the status window in the upper right. You must ensure that you have Tool Number 11 on the Part Setup screen, next to "Part position: 0.000", before you press F10/Set. ...

Re: Please help with ATC issue after spindle and VFD upgrade

Then, when you describe what you want to do, be sure to clearly state:
1) What things are outputs from the Acorn PLC, going to inputs on the spindle drive or to solenoid coils,
and
2) What things are outputs from the spindle or spindle drive, going to inputs on the Acorn PLC?
