Re: Auto Tool Touch Off & Tool Change Command Programming Help

If you wanted to fix it for just your machine and installation, you could edit the M6 macro, around line 117. Just below the "N200" line, you could add something like: IF [#5022 > -2.22] THEN G53 Y-2.22 More generally, Centroid should probably add that as an option to the "RackMountBi...

Re: DC3IO and CNC10 Limit sensor failure

You probably have the wrong console type selected on the Control Configuration screen:
F1/Setup -> F3/Config -> "137" -> F1/Control

Assuming that you have M400S serial number 20691, you should set "Console Type" = "Uniconsole-2".

Re: Z axis brake issues After upgrade v5.08

In that report, the "acorn_mill_plc.src" file is dated October 7th, and says that OUT7 is the axis #3 (Z) brake release. However, the compiled "mpu.plc" file is dated April 29th, and says that OUT7 is the generic "OUTPUT7" (with no brake release control). Somehow, you g...

Re: drill cycle issue

Set Centroid Machine Parameter 2 to a value of 2.

Re: Mystery Emergency Stop

On the one hand, you say it is running CNC10 with a Koyo PLC. On the other hand, you talk about tool bin number assignments, and using the ATC Init and ATC Reset features. Those features are part of the "enhanced ATC" support, which was not available when Koyo PLCs were in use. As far as I...

Probably a little late to be asking this, but will the v5.20 release include a router-specific version of CNC12 for Oak/Allin1DC/MPU11?

Re: Spindle Fault

However, if you are not getting a spindle fault until you try to start the spindle running, it is more likely that the problem is in the VFD parameters or with your wiring. It sounds like you have a VFD output that means "drive running" or "drive stopped", and you have it wired t...

Lathe Auto Chuck M Functions

I have a question for those who have experience running lathes with an auto chuck. Given a hydraulic chuck capable of both OD and ID gripping, and given a pair of M functions (say, M10 and M11) that operate the chuck: Is is more common or intuitive to have, for example: M10 = Jaws In (clamp an OD pa...

Did you connect the wire from the transformer center tap to the CAPBRDHI minus terminal?

Re: This Centroid setup is wrecking my machine!

The graphs are position count vs time. Suddenly the pulse train stops counting which means the controller said stop moving completely, without any decel, then start counting again without accel. Thank you for the clarification. I obviously misinterpreted your original report. A brief complete stop ...
