Re: Hardinge HNC Reduex 2

However, the X+ while it seems to be working in software, ie lamp on parameter 16 toggles when I manually toggle the switch, it does not stop the motion of the carriage. Presuming you mean that INP16, on the Alt-i display, changes from Green to Red when you trip the X+ limit switch, then the next s...

Re: Atrump B5AC tool hanger and coolant

Without trying to run a tool change, were you able to index the carousel with the "Tool Index +" and "Tool Index -" keys on the jog panel? Can you post a Report from your control? See http://www.cncsnw.com/report.htm Is your control still running DOS and CNC7? "Waiting for P...

Re: CNC12 LATHE VCP troubles with theCNC4PC C86ACORN

You should connect your Z axis drive to the drive #1 interface, which is probably what CNC4PC marked "X".

You should connect your X axis drive to the drive #2 interface, which is probably what CNC4PC marked "Y".

Re: Fault 9031

He probably has DMM drives.

At least some DMM models "flash" the SRDY (DriveOk) output for at least some fault conditions.

There is probably no way to know what the actual fault condition is, without connecting to the servo drive with the DMM PC software.

Re: Deckel fP4A Dialog11

M5, M6 and M7 are not CNC M codes for gear shifting. They are the names of the shifter motors, on the diagram that you posted. M codes to shift gears might be M41-M44, or might be others, depending on how many gears are needed. Does your machine have a variable-speed drive for the spindle motor? Or ...

Re: Intercon questions

For straight (obround) slots aligned with the X or Y axis, you can do that with the rectangular pocket cycle. For straight slots not aligned with the X or Y axis, you can do that with the rectangular pocket cycle plus a subprogram/rotate, but then you have to take steps (e.g. Run -> Search) to start...

Re: Intercon questions

1) You can set the delay parameter as low as 0.01s. It does not need to be a whole number.

2) No. Assuming you want a slot that is just the width of the cutter, you would use Rapid, Line, and Arc moves.

Re: Deckel fP4A Dialog11

Taking the 1250RPM range as an example, and using the chart you posted, you would need to: 1) Drive motor M5 until switch S38 is closed. 2) Drive motor M6 until switch S40 is closed. 3) Drive motor M7 until switch S42 is closed. For the 4000RPM range, you would need to: 1) Drive motor M5 until switc...
