Re: m400, windows failure to load
I do not have time, or enough information, to draw a picture or diagram of the connections in your M400 console. Maybe a text description will be useful. I am fairly certain your console has a micro-ATX motherboard, with a second ethernet adapter in an add-in card. Connections to the motherboard: - ...

Re: Ether1616 Changed?
The PLCEXP1616 is the version for the RedOak. I think it might also work with AcornSix.

Re: Expending Outputs with a PLC
If the infeed trigger, and run in response, need to be able to happen at any time while a CNC program is running, or also not while a CNC program is running, then it will have to be done in the PLC. Trying to do all PLC tasks with CNC macros limits you to doing those tasks either when no CNC program...

Re: CNC12 Mill, Lathe, Router, Plasma v5.20 is now available.
Is it not a default procedure, to copy cncm.wcs ect. from a backup after update? No, not for Oak, Allin1DC and MPU11 systems. If a control does not need any of the new changes in the factory-supplied PLC programs or VCP skins, then you can just install CNC12 as an update over the existing installat...

Re: WCS G54 Z axis not correct after setting part Z axis
Shouldn't the Z height be recorded in the WCS G54 Table as the distance from in my case Z home as a negative number? No. When you set Z Reference at Z home, and then measure tool offsets down from there, then set part zero with one of those tools, the Z value of your G54 offset will be the height o...

Re: WCS G54 Z axis not correct after setting part Z axis
I would have to guess that something went wrong in your order of operations. It almost looks like you used the 123 block while setting the part zero, and not while measuring the tool offset. Your H1 tool offset is ca. -11.4", which would appear to be the distance down from home to the surface o...

Re: WCS G54 Z axis not correct after setting part Z axis
Where was the tool, relative to the part surface and the 123 block, when you took each of those two screen pictures?

Pitfall in v5.20 mill update: WCS file lost
Oak, Allin1DC and MPU11 users should be aware: installing the v5.20 update will overwrite your WCS file with a new, blank file. That will remove your software travel limits; zero out any custom return points (such as a fixed tool setter location, or the G30 Z coordinate for an umbrella or swing-arm ...

Re: M15DRV1 board level troubleshooting
It could be a power supply issue, but that is a little unlikely because the PLC inputs on this board use the same 5VDC supply that runs the logic circuits and the computer motherboard assembly. If that supply were going out, you would have system-wide problems (e.g. PC lockups, or at least "401...

Re: Drill Bank code
No. On Centroid controls, outside of the arguments list of a G65 call, 'B' is only used as an axis address (typically a rotary axis, aligned with Y). Calling tools from a drill bank typically requires some creative CNC macro programming, probably with some support on the PLC side. I infer from your ...
