Re: Acorn using Panasonic Servos
. .., but I actually built a little board that converts from single ended to differential to take advantage of the noise immunity. ... . I am not very familiar with the terminology. Is differential the same as Quadrature? See image below of the A and B inputs. Top views the motor turning in one dir...

Re: MaxNC15CL to Acorn
Do you think there is any chance the Centroid Guys would add the Quadrature Option to the Acorn? It was built in Mach3. I am sure there are quite a few MaxNC machines still out there. Below is the Config screen in Mach3 that allows you select Quadrature. . Mach3_MaxNC_CL_Quadrature_Config_Option.jpg

Re: MaxNC15CL to Acorn
I found the discussion below, that says that the MaxNC CL requires quadrature. Which means that instead of Step and Direction It requires two square waves. Depending on which Wave is leading dictates the direction of the motor.. . Can we make the Acorn output two square waves for each motor? https:/...

Re: MaxNC15CL to Acorn
I have not been able to get the motors to move properly yet..
.
I can bet some buzzing when I try to jog.
.
I tried all the 968 parameter values. No improvement.

Re: MaxNC15CL to Acorn
I was able to get the BenchTest to work.
.
I had to reset the Ethernet Adapter back to "Obtain IP Automatically" then reinstall the software per the instructions.
