I did run through all the connections while I had it apart, tightened everything, and inspected solder joints. I didn't take any pics before closing it up. If the problem returns, I will get plenty of pics and pull out what little hair I have.

I am back up and running for the moment, I looked in the control box and found the ethernet cable was badly kinked, replaced it, and now it seems to be functioning properly. Fingers crossed it was that simple.

When I turned my mill on and attempted to home the axis the screen showed things were moving, but the steppers did not engage. I tried restarting both the control box and the PC got the same result. When I tried to move the axis from the VCP I was getting simultaneous rough movements from X, Y and Z...

Not sure if you figured out a solution to your estop question. I used a multi pole estop switch that allowed me to run both the mill and controller estops on the same switch. Hopefully this helps
