Re: How to use g-code smoothing with a lathe
Uwe post a picture of your head. I bet it is the size of a basketball in order to hold your huge brain! You and Keith make things look easy. Stop doing that it makes us mere mortals feel bad. Can you not make it look like more of a struggle? Please.

Using cell phone to update CNC computer
I wanted to update my CNC mill to CNC12 vs. 5 but Windows 10 needed to be updated. I don't have internet in my shop. The PC would have needed to be taken to the house in order to connect to the internet. I do have 5G cell service on my cell phone in my shop so I used a USB cable between my cell phon...

Do you want to use both spindles in the same job? If not you can configure your machine with two different configurations. I asked this question regarding my universal milling machine. I was told to have two totally different machine configurations of the Acorn. I never set it up as I have a horizon...

Re: closed loop with Acorn 6 and a linear scale
How are you dealing with the conflict between your encoder on the servo and the linear scales? What is the resolution of your encoders? Or is this a non issue?

Re: CNC 12 Mill vs Router
Keith, I noticed on the stock mill picture there are feed rate buttons for percentages. Is that stock because mine doesn't have them and I think I am running the latest version?

Re: Probing a part question
The way I did it was to put the plate from the spindle top on my mill table and align two for the opposite holes along the X axis using my 3D taster. Then I put the tip of the 3D taster in one hole on the side closest to the center boss and zeroed my X axis. Then I went to the opposite hole and meas...
