Re: VCP RESET onscreen button

I would say that mine (5.08) does not operate that way. Which is what I've been asking for in this thread.

Scott, Keith....
What is the state of the reset button when either the DriveOk or SpindleOk inputs are tripped?

Re: acorn to ahha!

If your drives are 45khtz max, you should reduce the step pulse frequency even farther. The step pulse frequency sets the width (in usec) of the step pulse. For each pulse you will have an equal or greater (depending on speed) void between pulses. For example, at 100khtz this calculates to 1,000,000...

Re: min lathe build AC spindel on off control

Yes. And another set to SpinREV will be controlled by M4 and M5. These are all covered in the manual, it will benefit you to spend some time there.

Re: VCP RESET onscreen button

1) Cycle estop does NOT clear reset. Reset must be pressed twice to reactivate NoFault Out 2) I do not want to create any custom buttons 3) These are ClearPath systems using AVID or CNC Depot spindle modules, so neither of those resets re being used Has anyone loaded my report? Something's wierd Her...

Re: VCP RESET onscreen button

reading marc's comments i thought he was asking for a virtual estop button which osha isn't going to like. No, not at all. I was suggesting that the appearance of the VCP reset button could change, depending on whether the actual emergency stop button was pressed. This would make it more obvious to...

Re: Help with Z move speed

The Z will perform well straight up on a 5mm pitch ball screw. Adding reduction is overkill

That said, you need more reduction on the x & y. Less than 1 is not recommended

Re: VCP RESET onscreen button

the reset button is not an estop. Dont want it to be one. I have physical working estop switches the vcp reset button is resetting software, CNC12, clearing fault messages etc. You forgot that it also toggles the NoFault output when present a virtual 'estop' isn't an actual estop and can not be lab...

VCP RESET onscreen button

Testers.... This is in regard to the action and state of the onscreen RESET button. If memory serves me correctly, when an alarm or the ESTOP was triggered in earlier versions the VCP RESET button state was changed to RESET TRIPPED. This action does not occur with the current release v5.08. The foll...
