Does anyone have a simple way of selecting the cheapest pc for the acorn job? I'm using the Pass mark site as suggested but getting very confused with the single core requirement and the 1500 number. When I look at the NUC7i3BNK, it seems that it's cpu benchmark is 1355? Anyway maybe i've misunderst...

Just to be 100% clear, are you boys saying there is no PP for fusion 360 and acorn lathe?

My seller admitted the omron encoder is fake and refunded me!

A little more progress - encoder mounted and saddle/apron coming on. Acorn on its way from Florida soon. Things left to purchase:

tool holding, computer, power supply, coolant system, chuck, splashback etc etc

I've been using Fusion for a while and can't fault it really. It's a learning curve like everything else but well worth it. If your not using it, it's a bit like using mach 3 instead of Centroid.

is anyone using a 5:4 aspect touchscreen, or anyone know if it works ok?
