Re: Silly Spindle Speed Stuff
Russ - thanks a lot, you were right on the money. The wires were too small/long. Upped the 2 analog wires to 3mm diameter and the others to 2mm and works perfectly. (I think) Now to take everything to bits and put it all together properly. Clip here: https://youtu.be/bDVFmTRRKbM Thanks again to Russ...

Re: Silly Spindle Speed Stuff
Thanks everyone once again. Well i'm going to rewire the VFD control wire as i'm pretty sure from what your saying Russ is it's possibly too small. I've also got them running through a plug and socket so ditch the plug and socket for now and rewire. The voltage and current selection is done with jum...

Re: Silly Spindle Speed Stuff
As you probably expected Scott, the acorn gave out the correct voltages when disconnected the 0-10 volt analog connections. Put them back in and no matter what you command there is only a fluctuating voltage of 0.9 to 1.2 volts. And the spindle turns at what you would expect for 1volt - aprox 100rpm...

Re: Qusestion for Marty
Amen to that, the support is amazing. Going from basically unsupported mach 3 to almost instant answers is just sweet. I'm trying to figure it out myself - honest But i'm kind of set in mach 3 ways - sure it will pass though

Re: Silly Spindle Speed Stuff
I'm having a similar problem with my spindle on first testing day. At rest acorn is sitting at 5volts on the analog out pins and showing approx 30hertz on the vfd. When i command an M3 S800 (which is max spindle speed in that range) the voltage drops to 1volt? and the spindle comes on at approx 120r...

Well if you'd like to share it, I can very very carefully test it! If you want? My lathe is almost done - hoping to start cutting air today or tomorrow.

Re: Kinco SV100 VFD connections Resolved
Thanks again Russ, I wasn't questioning you. It's just these chinese manuals are so misleading. Thanks for helping me out again.
