Re: M400 Control Console LCD

Hi Marty, Thanks for your comments. In one of the three photos related to my LCD display problem, I have pulled the problem socket out of the connector. It is the one with the red wires in it. I cleaned up all of the mating surfaces and reformed the socket parts that weren’t making good contact. My ...

Re: M400 Control Console LCD

I think I may have found my problem. I pulled the monitor out of my console and while reseating all of the display connectors I found that one of the female sockets on a small connector on the video board has what looks like a loose connection that has been over heating. The connector has three pair...

M400 Control Console LCD (Resolved)

Yesterday the LCD display on my M400 control console (S/N A900588) suddenly went dim while running a job. I can still just barely make out what is on the screen. Although I purchased my system back in 2017, I have only really been getting things up and running over the last couple of months. I would...

Re: Rotary Axis Homing

I finally found my problem! Taking Tom's suggestion, I repositioned the motor several times with the home switch in both the N/C and N/O configurations. The problem was still there. It still looked like the PLC was never seeing the switch. When I looked at the Motor Parameters page, for some reason ...

Rotary Axis Homing (Resolved)

I have been trying to get my rotary 4th axis up and running. I have added the necessary M92/C and M26/C to the .hom file. While trying to home the 4th axis the table rotates approximately 45 degs. and then I get a "Switch failed to clear, homing cycle cancelled" message. I tried M91/C to a...

Re: Renishaw MP11 Probe Setup

I finally had some time to look at this again this afternoon. I checked input 769 and found that it was showing I had a NC contact on the probe. After finding a manual for the MP11 probe, it looks like changing the input power polarity will switch the contacts from NC to NO. (Unlike the Centroid DP-...

Re: Renishaw MP11 Probe Setup

As a follow up, I have set the probing parameters per the DP-4 manual.

Renishaw MP11 Probe Setup

I am trying to get my Renishaw MP11 probe working with my Centroid probe software. This probe has a four pin connector providing two discrete circuits. One is supplying +12v and the other one is a pair of normally open contacts. The +12v is connected to H13 pin 9, The 12v return is connected to H13 ...
