Re: New DMM Servo install

Always create a fresh report and a COPY of your CNCM directory as back up. When starting from a new software install, having screenshots of all your wizard pages will help you hand key in the values in the wizard once you have done a fresh install. Rename the CNCM directory CNCMOLD and do a fresh in...

Re: New DMM Servo install

Oh how life gets in the the way.. I stepped away from this project several years ago and now I am back at it trying to make it work. Before i left everything seemed to be working with my ZRI homing sequence set to one input (input 2) and with all my home switches being tied in series to input 5. To...

Thanks Marty - (I've learned a lot from your many instructive videos!)
Good to hear. So the monitor was moving when you pressed on it?

Re: Touch Screen Monitors

Marty - the Viewsonic touchscreens I'm seeing currently seem to be based on IR sensors. Do they still make the resistive ones you refer to? I couldn't see any. https://www.viewsonic.com/uk/products/lcd/TD2223 The link I posted from Amazon (US) are the resistive monitors. They still make them, they ...

Re: New Project!

Given his motors are 160VDC, would direct rectification of 120VAC be too much? I figure rectified would be 169VDC. I would be more concerned about the drive, than the motors. See https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=9071&p=79927 In my opinion, direct rectification of 120VAC is ...

What is your incoming voltage?
As Marc mentions, you have to have 380v or more coming into the VFD. 240vac single phase won't cut it

Re: New Project!

I am also wondering about his 380V spindle motor as well. Seems he would need a transformer?
Ldguinn1, are you in the US?

Re: New Project!

With an Allin1DC, you do not need the tachometers or their wires. I would keep the transformer, and either connect a Centroid CAPBRDLO rectifier assembly to the 100VAC secondary; or keep the original Chevalier rectifier assembly (bridge, cap, and resistor) likewise connected to that 100VAC secondar...

Re: New Project!

Took a new job so was put on back burner, But back on it, Finally. So going through got wired up to the actual servos. The machine has a transformer, pic attached. Not sure if it would be worth it to use. Unfortunately, in my knowledge 220v consists of 2 hot leads i assume 230v does as well but the...
