Re: connecting DC motor to acorn cnc analog output
the newest version im just starting my build. and yes i have seen people damaging boards because they were hooking dc motors up to 10v. my question is the same. if acorn can now supply just 5v. what exactly is the purpose of the kbsi board? from everyone who talks about it or writes about it the so...

Re: connecting DC motor to acorn cnc analog output
Have no idea how you have it connected to your spindle drive. Are you sure you have it correctly wired? Do not wire it to the source voltage for the potentiometer.
At this point, I am out of ideas

Re: connecting DC motor to acorn cnc analog output
You should double check your connections and any jumper settings of the KBSI-240D, test it. Don't hook it up to your spindle drive, just hook it up to Acorn or another DC voltage source like a bench power supply, measure what is coming out of it. Do check the Acorn spindle Analog output with a meter...

https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=2027&p=16108&hilit=kb#p16108 ty i have watched alot of their videos and read documentation over the last few months but they are years old before acorn could reduce the spindle volts via the software. so now that this is an option trying...

Re: Video: Installing a KB Electronics KBIC-120 & SI5
There was nothing other than the schematic that Franco in his video posted. Nothing about your machine in that drop box folder. Did you watch the videos Parts 1 & 2 that Keith posted above? What version of CNC12 are you running now? 5.20 just came out. The Acorn Installation manual discusses the...

Re: connecting DC motor to acorn cnc analog output
You mention nothing about the mill, no pictures, you don't say what spindle drive you have, what kind of spindle motor you have. We can not "See" what you "See" Take pictures of everything, upload to a Google photo album and share a link here. The only purpose for KBSI-240D is a ...

Take a look at Ebay for KBSI240. Of course, you don't know what you are getting.

For 115VAC(be sure to use the 1A fuse shown in the KBSI240 Instruction Manual): Jumper Terminals 1&2 = Line Jumper Terminals 3&4 = Neutral Terminal 5 = Acorn Analog COM Terminal 6 = Acorn Analog 0-10VDC Terminal 9 = Inverter COM Terminal 10 = Inverter Analog Input Suggest you use separate re...

Re: PM-833TV Spindle Speed Control
I'm out retrofitting a router.
I'll look at the KBSI240 manual upon my return
You can always call KB Electronics support

Re: PM-833TV Spindle Speed Control
Below is quick schematic I think might work. If I set the pot of the 240d board to max voltage of 12v for max RPM and calculate the min volts as the machine does not go to zero but 50 RPM min. Or, simply attach a meter to read the volatge at 50 RPM. Looking for the least expensive way to have this ...
