Keith, what version are you running there? 5.08 does not behave that way. I can cycle the physical button and/or the input and never get the VCP reset button to change state. great, see the VCP users manual which has examples on changing button functions and easy hijacking of existing buttons and functions and download the macro programming manual.

yes there are several approaches to this.

what exactly are you after? not all dual Z machines act the same.

some are Z1 Z2 are slaved and work in unison, others are two separate axes Z and W

do you need rigid tapping on the 2nd Z axis? etc..etc..

post a fresh report.zip so we can see your configuration. defeat limits if you have them defined and not connected.
