Re: This Centroid setup is wrecking my machine!
I can see that when the g code runs, it seems that even though the axis appears to be on average meaning to travel at a constant velocity, it accelerates/decelerates at each g code. The motor RPM rockets up and down chasing the acceleration and deceleration in the position command. Unfortunately I ...

Did you adjust the smoothing profiles or smoothing parameters 221-231?
Smoothing step P222 is larger than recommended for a mill.
Perhaps the combination of smoothing and machine parameters has resulted in the profile flat spots.

Re: Build Thread: Ramsay CNC Plasma Question
Wiring +24V to pin 3 (PP+) input most likely damaged the input circuit. The drives probably do not read the step pulses now, so they have no reason to move.

Re: Hickory input loss
Create a report before the error occurs, around 10 minutes after start up. This may provide additional clues about what is going on. The slaves are already down before the other report, so no information could be retrieved from them.

Re: Hickory input loss
I assume the drive error is A12 "EtherCAT Outputs Data Synchronization Error". The EtherCAT chain failed 13 minutes after start. Check the routing, condition, and type of the RJ45/Ethernet cables. Check for any coils without snubbers or high power devices switching near the time of failure...

Re: ALLIN1DC F1 Fuse Excessive Current
Is there any bare metal on the bottom of the capacitor? It may need to be insulated. Due to part supply problems, some stud mount capacitors were sourced, then the stud was cut off. If the capacitor is mounted vertically and the system has no transformer, the stud could cause a short. This seems unl...

Re: ALLIN1DC F1 Fuse Excessive Current
Are you using slow blow fuses? The inrush during capacitor charging can blow fast fuses that would otherwise be adequately rated.

You can press <Alt-I> to display I/O states. However, they may not all be "green is good". If you have a panel of lights for input state indication, you will end up with the same situation as the <Alt-I> display. Either you must remember the proper state of each light, or wire inversion fo...
