Set parameter 968 to 16.
The width of the step pulse is constant at a given p968 setting, so the step rate has to be set low enough for the drive. Otherwise, the short step pulse may be missed by the drive.

Re: Strange noise issue.
I would ground everything related to the dust collection unit with heavy wire going to a single point ground bar. Some dust collection units are impressive static electricity generators.

DMM is making some changes for HICKORY compatibility.
Currently available drives are not compatible.

Re: SD3 Driver
AC/DC drives can run those motors. They are brushless (aka AC) motors, so ALLIN1DC will not run them. You should not use SD3 or SD1 on a new build. Centroid tries to support products as long as possible. However, there are components on SD1 and SD3 that have been obsolete for over a decade. The time...

Re: Motor sizing for Allin1DC
- Should I be concerned about the max current consumption being so much greater than the capacity of the Allin1dc? No. Peak Current is extremely high on DC brush motors. It is normally the demagnetization current, so you don't want to go near that. - Just out of curiosity, how much of a performance...

Re: optic direct
The cable was marked DELTA, that is why I used the delta header, are the cables header specific? The Delta cables are slightly longer than Yaskawa. There is no other difference. The analog input is the only reason I know for using the Delta header with the breakout board. It is more convenient than...

Normally LC4DBRKOUT is used with the Yaskawa header H2. Pinout attached for H2.

Re: Conecting old fanuc dc drive
OPTIC4 is from 2009. It is obsolete.Rafael Almanzar wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2023 2:24 pm TB 233 (REV 1) Where it explains the connection of these old drives to the oak control and the 5M and 10M servo motors by means of an OPTIC 4 card
See the beginning of this thread. The systems were not cost effective.

Re: Well nuts, Acorn 10V spindle speed signal loading down
Strange symptom though, driving down the commanded signal so much. The output was probably oscillating. A sine wave would likely display on an oscilloscope. A meter on VDC will just show the average. Once the output is out of control (continuous oscillation) it is hard to say what the DC average wi...

Re: Reading Absolute Encoders
OpticDirect (connected to Oak) and HICKORY support absolute encoders.
