Re: Can't find the SVs for various things
Studying a bit more last night, it appears the system variables that are mapped into M94/95 and M100/101 are not contiguous, according to the IO number on the PLC. For instance, OUT6 appears to be mapped to SV=4, as represented in the sample macros mfunc10.mac and mfunc11.mac, which turn on/off the ...

Re: Retrofit of Mill
Liviu's just quoting the numbers; he's being WAY too modest about the product. What he doesn't say is, the AIODC board makes for a VERY CLEAN, easy-to-route installation! With only the least bit of work and a few plastic wiring chases, the AIODC layout is the easiest, cleanest retrofit I've ever had...

Can't find the SVs for various things
I'd like to start fiddling with controlling outputs on the AIODC myself through macros. I cannot seem to find a list of SVs mapped to numbers accessible by M94/95 in any of the docs that cover all the outputs, much less the majority of the inputs. I understand they are from 1 through 128... but I ca...

Re: Don't let "Stupid" sleep in your back room!
GuL ??? Were you just needling me because I stated earlier that "it was never there before", or did you have some other purpose for quoting my entire statement, and not adding any comment of your own? If the former: We never noticed it before... OK? If the latter: You forgot to add your ow...

Re: Don't let "Stupid" sleep in your back room!
Thanks. It didn't make any difference. It wasn't even related to the problem, as it turns out. All I was seeing was the ordinary diagnostics which always come up concerning a disconnected MPG. I never noticed them before, because the big TEST pane never came up before declaring our machine wasn't re...

Re: Polarity
All the inputs in a bank of four must use the same voltage and same polarity. --------- If there are, indeed 'bi-polar' LEDs in those optos, then... they need the same voltage, because they're all working through the same SIP resistor network. But they needn't be the same polarity, so long inputs of...

Re: Polarity
The drawing at 5.5.2 appears to be incorrect -- but it's possible to be correct; below. The schematics and pictorials show each of the configurable inputs to be set up with opto-isolators. Each is DRAWN as having an LED and a snubber diode in parallel, and in opposite polarity. IF that is the correc...

Again, Ajax comes through!
There's a parameter that can be set with an unlock code in the options menu to turn off the 'test' screen.
It's a decimal-ized version of your serial number.
All fixed!

On the way. I ran one as soon as I started looking for the problem.

Re: Don't let "Stupid" sleep in your back room!
Liviu, There's one more odd thing going on after he re-installed CNC11. This does NOT prevent us from working normally... it's just an irritating message, which starting a 'machine home' sequence removes. Upon a power-up reset of the AllinOneDC board (but NOT the control PC, which may be power-reset...
