Re: When researching a problem

Got it going now!!! First, I changed parameter 35 to 0 and 313 to 0. The spindle doesn't have an encoder. Second, I jumped the lube pump input and that was ok. I really appreciate you taking the time to lay out the events, errors, and flow so that it was more apparent to me how to proceed. By no mea...

When researching a problem

When researching a problem where you're unable to clear a fault, and the fault is a configuration problem, which files in the backup zip should be looked at first, assuming the electrical components are all fine. Something along the lines of either a plc configuration problem or parameter problem.

Re: Ajax DM-45 w/all in one computer dead

Well as the old song goes: I'm back in the saddle again. The basic fix was so easy I overlooked it. I have a DC1 single axis to drive my rotary table. When I replaced the computer with the Lenovo (which doesn't have the ability to add another drive) I lost my 5v supply to the DC1. Interesting I neve...

Re: PLC Comparison

Well I continue to have problems and have decided to have the wiring comply with the new plc. The problem is Ajax (was this an off shoot of Centroid?) must have had different wire labeling or the labeling has evolved. So, now I'm having to trace everything since I didn't get a schematic when I purch...

Re: PLC Comparison

Thank you for your assistance!. As an old retired engineer, I can say that delving into reading the whole PLC manual would certainly have shorten my life. I started with punch tape and either UCC or Compac II programming. True NC not CNC. Working for Litton Industries designing a product called a me...

Re: PLC Comparison

Thanks, and your right. The custom plc is more than 10 years old. So, I believe I'm going to have to gut it out and walk through it from the beginning. I'm old enough to remember the first wheel being chiseled, so it's going to be interesting.
