Creating a VCP Indicator Button
In the VCP 2.0 Users Manual there is a section describing how to create a button that indicated the state of a PLC memory location. I would like to have a VCP button that clearly states if my Fiber LASER in in a fault condition. I mapped Acron's INPUT2 to "SpindleOK" using the Wizard and c...

Re: Some monitor Qs
I have been considering my display and input options (specifically a touchscreen) for a new machine I am building, a Fiber LASER welder. It appears there is no way to avoid haveing a keyboard since there is no on-screen keyboard presented when you select a text box. Since you need the keyboard anywa...

Re: Odd behavior threading with G32
Thanks Tom, that was it. Now, after two passes it looks like this: Two passs.JPG Not sure why my control had a value of 0.1 loaded instead of the default of 0. Since I have servo motors and am cutting slowly the -1 value is the right choice. I had scanned through all the parameters looking for likel...

Odd behavior threading with G32
I am getting a strange behavior when trying to thread with a G32 cycle on my new Hardinge/Centroid conversion. To illustrate this, I took a single pass with a very light cut using that cycle. Here is the relevant section of code: N14 T0202 N15 G54 N16 M8 N17 G98 N18 G97 S100 M3 N19 G0 X0.6 Z0.5 N20 ...

Re: Using Oak/CNC12 Lathe with HSMWorks CAM
I found an Autodesk/Fusion360 FANUC Lathe post that "FRANCO" modified to work with the Centroid Lathe control. He has a video and and a dropbox link to that post that can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqgEijP4WTQ Conveniently, all Autdesk CAM programs (HSMWorks, Fusion360)...

Re: Using Oak/CNC12 Lathe with HSMWorks CAM
Thanks for the information.
Selecting spindle direction is part of the CAM's tool description. I will just need to convince it to reflect the X coordinates about zero for that tool.
It is very convenient that the too change commands are located in a macro. Did not know that.

Using Oak/CNC12 Lathe with HSMWorks CAM
I have gotten the retrofit of my Hardinge/Accuslide gang-tool lathe mostly finished (see pictures). Thanks for all the help provided by the kind and knowledgeable folks on this forum. Now I am now starting to think about how to best generate my G-code. I have used my SolidWorks/HSMWorks CAM program ...

Re: Configuring a Yaskawa Sigma-7 Drive
Thanks for the excellent explanation about re-mapping those two logic outputs. I am able to jog the Z and X axes from SigmaWin and will now try connecting the amplifiers up to the Oak board.

Re: Configuring a Yaskawa Sigma-7 Drive
Perhaps the disabled /COIN and /V-CMP outputs are not causing a fault. SigmaWin certainly complained when I tried to write the new values, but now it appears to be accepting them.
