Clearpath MSP motor tuning

I want to tune my dual motor Y axis motors. Teknics requires a macro that moves Y axis repeatedly from a point and back with a 1 second delay between movements. Distance of Movement isn't critical but can be 15-25". The time for all of the movements can be a minute or so. I am not comfortable w...

H7 pinout for Rev 3. Upgrading to Rev 4 and new Relay PCB

It appears to me that the schematic for the Rev 3 PCB is in error relative to relay pinouts at H7 header. Rev 3 shows the COM connections at bottom of the callout for OUT1 and OUT2 respectively. BUT IF you look at a photo from July of 2019 (my machine) it clearly shows the wires at H7 header NOT con...

Re: Router moves 2X the commands

Sorry about that. I must hack that report in the wrong folder. That is the only thing I have for V4.82. I trash older reports. Would it help if I reloaded V4.82 and made a report?

Router moves 2X the commands

Last Friday I tried to run a job after loading V5.04. V5.04 had been loaded a couple days previous but no job run until friday. The router movements were twice the commanded distance. Router had run fine in V5.02. Friday I reverted back to V5.02 and it had also had movements at 2X. I did not use RES...

Re: Auto Z zero setup

After I finish these 2 jobs I will try the 3200steps/IN. I am amazed at the torque of these clearpath motors for their size. QUESTION. In the ADVANCED AXIS CONFIG page in the wizard for axis motor drive fault delay time. does that set the time delay in the event of a drive fault before removing driv...

Re: Auto Z zero setup

Thanks Keith
Z axis is direct to ball screw. Y and Z axis has 5:1 planetary gear reduction. Control by Gary C. He did a great job.

Re: Auto Z zero setup

I dropped the Z axis down to 280. 400 was still too high. It is working at that consistently. 300 was OK too. 350 still too high. I have a pneumatic cylinder attached for help. The Z motor is a Clearpath "23" instead of "34". The only think I need to do now is get my 'go to xyz0 ...

Auto Z zero setup

trying to set Z0 W/F4 auto. All is well until I hit 'tool check' The spindle goes for home at an exceedingly fast rate and results in error 9031 drive fault I have experienced this in V4.80. I lowered the steps/rev from 1600 to 800 to overcome the error in V4.80. When running V4.82 and V5.02 I could...
