X Position error
I have something odd happening that I can't put my finger on. The machine has been running fine for years with no issues, then out of the blue I am getting random oscillation and position errors on the X axis. I looked at the encoder and see nothing obviously wrong with it, not sure if a worn belt c...

Re: LOST [1/2] KEY
It looks like you are using Mach3.
If you are doing the Y axis, just mouse over and click the Y axis in the DRO, it will change color some. Type /2 then(enter). Same for any other axis.

Re: Touch off plate (zero Z)
Thanks Bonestock, I read most of the posts about your probe and they were the most helpful thing I had found. I am not even trying to hook up a probe at the moment. What I want is to have a fast accurate way to preset the tools, like a simple touch off plate. I run some jobs that use 10-15 tools and...

Re: Touch off plate (zero Z)
Two months with no response to this, how about a little info then. Does the LED probe light in Mach diagnostics work with Ajax? If I hook up a jumper to H3/5 H3/6 to see if it will come on I get nothing. It also states a probe would want to use Modbus 481, not sure if I would use the same one for th...

Touch off plate (zero Z)
Has anybody hooked up a simple touch off plate to zero the Z in Mach? I see in the instructions settings and hookups for probes on the MPU11 but nothing for this. I just want to use a piece of pcb board with a one wire hookup. I have tried several ways with no luck. Any help would be appreciated

Re: VFD connections
Just an update, the GS3 was very easy to hook up. The information from Ajax was on the money, the only thing is in parameter 4.13 the value needs to be set to 4 not 01. It appears they did a firmware change on the VFD. I though I would post this as an FYI in case someone else was hooking one up.

Re: VFD connections
Thanks,
I thought that might be the case but wanted to be sure. As I am new to this whole VFD concept, could you give me an example of how these outputs may be put to use?

VFD connections
I am hooking up a GS3 VFD and have the wiring diagram provided by Ajax but would like some clarification on hooking it up. I know where everything goes except these three connections. DO2 Digital output (At speed) DO3 Digital output (Zero speed) DOC Digital output common Any help would be appreciate...

Re: DC1 installation problem
Why thank you Scott. No that was the problem. Perhaps you should add that little tidbit in the instructions, on all the other pictures for configuration changes you have a nice red box outlining what to change. If you look at the picture for that particular change, the drive as well as encoder numbe...

**RESOLVED** DC1 installation problem
Hi all, I tried emailing tech on this but have not got a response so I thought maybe someone here could help... I am installing a 4th axis DC1 on a machine that has been running the Mach based DCIOB MPU11 kit for about 6 months. While it looked like it should be an easy install I am having some prob...
