Re: CNC12 v5.1 Release Candidate #2 is now available.

Is it possible that this issue has crept back in? I am not able to get TT or probing to work as it used to, and it seems to be acting similar the the linked post. Parameter 404 is set, but it makes no difference this time. Auto Z to plate does not stop upon touch. The input for TT does trip in the ...

Re: Rigid Tapping Setup

Richard, pending your "crossed fingers" it might be worthwhile reviewing the thread on my router where Marc Leonard helped me enormously from start to a very satisfactory finish

The attached is the snubber circuit that I am currently using that was suggested by Uwe. This is wired across the analog output on the Acorn board.
Are you suggesting that I replace this with just the .1uf capacitor?
Yes, that's how I have my system but ensure the cap is ceramic

Re: Rigid Tapping Setup

No, the 0.1 UF ceramic cap needs to be fitted between Acorn's analog Vout and Com terminals. It assisted me in bringing RPM under proper control and many other folk in stabilising their analog output. You normally don't need anything else other than proper shielded wiring best practice throughout

Re: Intercon enhancement request

You didn't mention air blast in your original post and I did mention "and/or Vac for evac". No matter, if you wish to ignore best practice that's your choice of course. For finish cuts in Intercon, suggest your refer to the Mill manual chapter 10 and the section on Sub Programs, specifical...

Re: Intercon enhancement request

Checkout fog buster by Noga which can be used used in air blast only and/or use vac for evac. No offence but allowing any machining of chips will damage or break you bit perhaps sooner than later with disastrous consequences

Re: MDI Spindle Voltage Incorrect

Disconnect wires from both Vout and COM analog terminals on Acorn and measure voltage on those terminals when manually commanding 1750 rpm. Does this produce 5vdc

Did you clean up wiring as we suggested in your other thread?

And PLEASE, post a new and current Report.zip

Re: Safe Spindle Temperature?

How about researching if Ceramic Bearings could be an option assuming they are available in your size. My air cooled Router spindle uses this up to 24K rpm but does need 10 minute warm up before use. However, I don't know the suitability for a Mill
