Backlash compensation is NOT was is being described by the Agent. Checking each 0.5" of travel refers to Screw Compensation NOT backlash comp and might be appropriate ...

There is no negative at all in conducting Precision Probe calibration. After calibration, you will always have the opportunity to use either Standard or Precision mode when probing

Best advice is yes you should perform standard calibration first as this sets up the "derived" probe diameter ...

Once you have loaded your job but before starting, press F4 Job Options and enter 25 or 50 etc into "Part Count" ensuring that the "Job Repeat" is toggled ON.

I'm right in the middle of redesigning the centroid cnc12 tool library so now's a good time to give me your suggestions

This might be a stretch, but I'd love to be able to import tool libraries from Vectric or Fusion 360. It's less important in CNC12 because some tool geometries don't matter ...

I noticed that tool descriptions seem to be limited to 19 characters. Is there a parameter that will allow me to make longer descriptions?

Of course you are correct Uwe (as usual :mrgreen: )

I should have stated that my router spindle has an ER25 collet chuck and not fixed toolholders i.e. no drawbar.

For safety reasons I prefer to run without a tool installed but ALSO with collet nut removed
