Thanks Keith,
Its amazing how accurate it works as a lathe and it keeps excellent tolerance.

Re: Cutter Compensation
Sorry about that: Machine Parameter 99 (corrected above as well). Thanks for the pointers, I have just tried that and it still does not fix the problem, I am convinced that its a problem with the software and Centroid should look in to fixing it. This does not happen on any other machine as far as ...

Cutter Compensation
Hi,
Could somebody please explain why Acorn fails to follow the programmed path correctly when cutter compensation is applied on this profile.
I have attached a screen shot showing the error, and the code being used.
Phil

Re: Quadrature Error with DYN4 Spindle Servo
Hi Marty,
Thanks for your help with this issue, we have now decided to just keep the DYN4 servo for a 4th axis when we make one and buy a 3 phase 1.1kw motor and VFD for the spindle.
We will use a separate encoder for feedback if we need to do rigid tapping.
Thanks again
Phil

Re: Quadrature Error with DYN4 Spindle Servo
Thanks Marty,
I will post a fresh report tomorrow when i get back in the workshop.
The acorn board is mounted just below where the relay board is.
