The encoder was purchased from ajax. The wiring is shielded with the shielding grounded on the motor side only. Noise was my first thought also, but have already double checked the encoder leads. I installed an mpu11 running mach3 on a bed mill over 1 year ago and it's been running fine up till now. While running a proven program the Z axis rammed into a part. I found it. Even a blind hog can find a acorn every now and then. If you use the tab key to pull up the jog menu the max jog rate is listed on the virtual MPG.

Problem is a bug in the ajax plugin. Needed to load beta version. Seems to be working correctly now. Installing beta was easy didn't override previous settings.

The max rate in the X and y positive direction is 120 ipm but negative is 240 ipm . That cause the buffer to hold the unused pulses, if I turn the mpg to fast causing it to move after I stop turning the mpg. Can I use the autotune feature in cnc11 to tune my motors for use with mach 3. I tried with the demo version but it doesn't work.
I'm having trouble getting the motors tuned . It's the last thing I need to make the machine operational.

When feeding at a slower rate should I shorten the movement so you can see the start and finish?
