Re: BAD CRASH
The encoder was purchased from ajax. The wiring is shielded with the shielding grounded on the motor side only. Noise was my first thought also, but have already double checked the encoder leads. The strange thing was it missing a hole but continuing to drill the remaining holes as if nothing happen...

BAD CRASH
I installed an mpu11 running mach3 on a bed mill over 1 year ago and it's been running fine up till now. While running a proven program the Z axis rammed into a part. For some unknown reason the mill skipped drilling 1 hole out of a 9 hole pattern, then when the program ended with g91,g28z0 it ramme...

Re: maximum mpg jog rate ?
I found it. Even a blind hog can find a acorn every now and then. If you use the tab key to pull up the jog menu the max jog rate is listed on the virtual MPG.

Re: axis runaway after inputting backlash
Problem is a bug in the ajax plugin. Needed to load beta version. Seems to be working correctly now. Installing beta was easy didn't override previous settings.

**RESOLVED** maximum mpg jog rate ?
The max rate in the X and y positive direction is 120 ipm but negative is 240 ipm . That cause the buffer to hold the unused pulses, if I turn the mpg to fast causing it to move after I stop turning the mpg. Why does it only output 120 ipm in the positive and 240 ipm in the negative direction and ho...

Re: axis runaway after inputting backlash
I'm running Mach 3 . Been using the machine for months. Changing the setting back doesn't stop the problem once it starts to run away unless I reboot the machine. The backlash setting appear to handled by the ajax plugin not the mach version. It works fine as long as the backlash doesn't exceed .001...

**RESOLVED** axis runaway after inputting backlash
If I enter more than .0005" in the mach config page, the axis jumps and runs away uncontrollably when I use the mpeg. It works fine with jog as long as I don't use the mpeg. Works fine with less than .0005", But I need .0015". The only way to reset the backlash to stop it from happeni...

**RESOLVED** MPG over travel
I purchased the ajax mpg to work with my mach 3. It only took minutes to install and is working great with one exception. If I turn the mpg to fast the buffer in the mpu11 continues to feed the drives after I stop turning. This can be a very dangerous situation. Can I change a setting that will stop...

**RESOLVED** Autotune feature in CNC11
Can I use the autotune feature in cnc11 to tune my motors for use with mach 3. I tried with the demo version but it doesn't work.
I'm having trouble getting the motors tuned . It's the last thing I need to make the machine operational.

Re: Motor tuning Problems
Finally have time to get back to this project. Do you need a copy of the .txt file or just the screen capture?
When feeding at a slower rate should I shorten the movement so you can see the start and finish?
