Re: Trouble with Logitech K400 keyboard

Are you talking about the K400r or or K400 plus? If it's the K400r, you will need to download the Set Point software, Options/Options+ won't work with the K400r. With that, you can set the F key (FN key toggle) functions as well as assign different functions to the media keys on the top edge.

Re: New Build: Pimped-Out Shopbot PRS Alpha 60x96 w/ATC

Awesome job, you're gonna like it! My PRS is nothing compared to yours when it comes to all the bling, but it's been working great since 2019 with CNC12!
I see you followed ShopBot's original circa 2007 Alpha wiring methodology. Sorry, had to say it, because mine was the same way. ;)

Re: Trouble with Logitech K400 keyboard

Yep, if you look on the back, it will likely show K400r. The Set Point software should take care of it. If you don't already have it, you may also need the stand alone Unifying software to pair it with the USB dongle.

Holding down the FN key while pressing a F key is the toggle for the dual ...

Re: setting up a j tech laser issues

Pin 14 on the Acorn DB25 header (H6) is the PWM +signal, is that where you have the laser enable circuit connected from? Do you have PWM setup properly in the wizard? In MDI, you can issue a M37 to enable the laser and then issue a S value of 0-100 or 0-1000 (depending on how you have it set in the ...

Re: Spindle safety feature question

If I'm not mistaken, the wrench and the key were cabled together and in a holder by the switch, so if you lost the key, you've lost the collet wrench too (that is of course if you hadn't already taken the side cutter to it on day one).

That seems like a real pain in the you know what.
Yep and yep, that's why it wasn't incorporated into the rebuild. ;)

Re: Spindle safety feature question

The default spindle warm up macro has several pauses to, as I believe it states in the macro, allow for heat soak. I always replace it with mine that has no pauses as well.

If you're going to stick to the default one, maybe a warning light would be a good idea. Stays on until the end of the macro.

Re: Do I need to upgrade my free plasma license for software auto squaring?

For Auto Squaring, yes. I think that it is also needed for software pairing. If you have pairing set in the wizard, the paired axes may become unpaired when you try to move.
