Re: Bridgeport Torqcut 22 Rebuild and Oak Retrofit

Made a bit more progress only getting the odd hour here and there to work on it at the moment. The power distribution wiring is taking shape, got a lot of stuff final mounted and started labeling the wiring, still scratching my head on where i want the ground strip. Here is the current state of the ...

Re: Bridgeport Torqcut 22 Rebuild and Oak Retrofit

Where you have 12ga wires paired with 6ga wires at the top of the 40A breaker, be sure to give each 12ga wire a firm tug after you are done tightening the terminal screw, to be sure it is secure. With a pair of wires of greatly differing size, it is hard to get the smaller wire adequately clamped. ...

Re: Bridgeport Torqcut 22 Rebuild and Oak Retrofit

Re: Bridgeport Torqcut 22 Rebuild and Oak Retrofit

Re: Bridgeport Torqcut 22 Rebuild and Oak Retrofit

Yeah I was thinking that, the mpg connection looks like it's pin for pin, the console connection must have some kind of communication protocol as there isn't enough pins compared to no of buttons :D :D I will stick with the touch screen and see how I get on for now, it's been perfectly fine on the l...

Re: Bridgeport Torqcut 22 Rebuild and Oak Retrofit

This is how I build my control panels: I like having the physical buttons. Takes up a few inputs. Worth it to me. looks cool i think i remember seeing that picture before, so you basically chewed up half the inputs on the acorn to do that? i'm assuming you have the expansion board? i was kinda hopi...

Re: Bridgeport Torqcut 22 Rebuild and Oak Retrofit

thanks Marc i just looked at the automation direct relays and geez no wonder why they work well they are either rebranded or exact copy of the Schneider's. if they are a copy its amazing that Schneider has not gone after them, they look identical other than the color. im decided on the layout. im go...

Re: Bridgeport Torqcut 22 Rebuild and Oak Retrofit

Thanks Marc your response is EXACTLY why i asked the question, i was wondering if your thinking had evolved on the topic since that tc22( k101316) or if you just decided that the board relays on the 240v tool changer could take the abuse. I looked at the relays published ratings, then looked at the ...

Re: PLCADD 1616 Manual Discrepancy?

thanks for the clarification. i did a forum search and found no other mentions so I'm guessing it just hasn't been an issue for others, im trying to do an install as clean as possible and i have a couple of circuits near the rating so i may have to piggyback some larger relays off the 1616 relays.
