Re: Daewoo Puma 6 with Acorn/DYN4

If kept the ATC you may be able to make it work down the road with the I/o expansion board that's coming. (Worth hanging onto) I recently did a mori SL1H with an oak and dyn4. Really wanted to go acorn, but couldn't come up with the I/o. I've got an SL2b I'm considering pulling the turret and using ...

Re: Retrofit on fadal 6030

Keith,

Would you mind posting the report for the machine you linked to?

Would make it easier to understand what i/o was needed and how it was integrated.

Thank you

Re: Setting lathe threading tool?

I program with the edge of the insert as well. Its safer. By the time your threading the part is usually complete. Bad time for running a tool into the shoulder behind the thread.

Re: Offset setting for ID Lathe tools

I don't see why that wouldn't work.

I can think of an easy way to find out. :)

Re: ACORN Rev 4 Controller Board

Looks like Rev 3 boards are on amazon from centroid for $275 free shipping. I'm not sure if the $25 price break it to sell off the old inventory or if you'd get a Rev 4 board when buying from amazon.

Re: Hardinge TFB

Final updated schematic. Needed to invert the Z-axis handwheel encoder; added a Z-axis glass scale; added spindle motor fan; swapped the status light for a two color red/green indicator (green when ready to run/flashing red when in e-stop or faulted). With the addition of the z-scale, this fills up...

Been about a month since this was last prodded. Things still looking good for first quarter? Or has this needed to move to a summer expectation?

Re: Mori Seiki SL1H Oak Board Build

Good evening All, Was wondering if anyone had some input on running finish passes on a profile cut after running additional code. What i'm looking to do is run a profile such as a thread od with undercuts etc, and then thread it and after threading go back and run a finish pass on the profile cut to...
